DaHui has extensive experience advising domestic and international venture capital and private equity funds. Regardless of whether the fund is corporate or partnership, or denominated in RMB or USD, or even organized as a parallel fund, we are there every step of the way, from formation and throughout deployment.
DaHui represents venture capital funds, private equity funds, strategic investors and angel investors in their investments in China. In addition, we advise Chinese entrepreneurs in various industry sectors in China in their onshore and offshore private financing, including seed financing, follow-on financing rounds, equity-linked debt financing and trade sale transactions.
Our services in this area include:
Advised Alibaba Pics, the film offshoot of the world's largest e-commerce company, and sister company Youku, the prime Chinese video-hosting service, on hundreds of millions of U.S. dollars' worth of investments in film and entertainment companies, including Nice Film, PMF Pictures, Galaxy, New Power and Haima Qingfan.
Represented lead-investor CICC in the USD 43.6 million series B financing of OneSpace, a China-based rocket company developing small satellite launch vehicles.
Represented Genesis Capital, established by former Tencent investment team, in several of its largest, most high-profile investments, including in Zhangmen Education and Global Online Education (both leading online K-12 education service providers in China), Zhenkunhang (a leading online industrial product service platform in China) and Full Truck Alliance (a leading online trucking logistics platform in China) as well as the financing of Tantan, China's top dating app, and in its subsequent sale to Momo, the Chinese location-based social networking app.
Served as sole and full-service counsel to J&T Global Express, a leading courier service provider from Southeast Asia, in its several rounds of international financing (as well as in the related global restructuring and expansion).
Represented Lenovo Capital and Incubator Group in several investments, including a financing of Chinese electric vehicle unicorn NIO (f.k.a. NextEV) and the USD 40 million series B financing of Cyclone, one of the leading RPA software and solution providers with clients covering finance, banking, insurance, energy, logistics industries, etc.
