Cross-Border Dispute Resolution Lawyers – Mid-Level

Job Description

We are looking for lawyers to join our Dispute Resolution (DR) teams as mid-level associates in Beijing, Shanghai, and Wuhan.

Mid-level cross-border DR associates play an integral and indispensable role in DaHui Lawyer’s DR teams that represent international and domestic clients in complex litigation and domestic and international arbitration. Associates constitute a crucial part of our provision of legal services, at the highest international standards, including the following:

  • Reviewing contracts, records of communications and other documents relating to cross-border disputes and crises
  • Conducting legal analyses and formulating strategies and action plans for crisis management and dispute resolution
  • Communicating with counterparties, arbitrators, judges and other relevant parties
  • Collecting, processing and cataloguing evidence as well as handling other discovery work in furtherance of claims or defenses
  • Preparing pleadings, responses, motions and all other materials for litigation/arbitration proceedings
  • Attending and representing clients in litigation/arbitration hearings and other proceedings
  • Advising on and assisting with enforcing or defending against enforcement of court rulings/judgments and arbitral awards

Basic requirements include:

  • One or preferably two law degrees from Chinese and/or international law schools
  • More than 2 years’ experience in cross-border DR work and solid familiarity with procedural requirements of a variety of venues
  • Working proficiency in written and oral English
  • Ability to independently organize and carry out basic work in document collection, review, investigation and evidence collection; ability to independently draft litigation documents is a plus
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, high level of professionalism, ability to learn quickly, drive to take on challenges and a team spirit
