Dr. Yan is a distinguished member of DaHui Lawyers’ employment law practice teams. His practice focuses on advising on human resources issues in both transactional and dispute resolution contexts. He has advised Fortune global 500 companies on international labour law issues affecting their human resources affairs globally, and he frequently assists large PRC SOEs in relation to overseas employment and human resources disputes. Additionally, Dr. Yan has been closely involved in the drafting process of many key PRC labour legislations, such as the Labour Contract Law, the Employment Promotion Law, and the Labour Dispute Mediation and Arbitration Law. As a result, he is frequently invited by multinational corporations and major SOEs to offer analysis and explanations regarding the potential impacts of new labour legislations.
Dr. Yan is a distinguished legal scholar. He is an Assistant Professor at Beijing Foreign Studies University School of Law, where he teaches labour law. He is a regular speaker at seminars and conferences to introduce Chinese labour law to the world. And he has published extensively in his fields, including one book and more than 10 academic articles.
